Caroline’s work is deeply influenced by her love of the rugged Scottish coastline and her fascination with texture and contrast. Her hand-built, functional and sculptural work explores these themes in rough black stoneware and white porcelain, often leaving pieces unglazed or partially glazed to showcase the raw beauty of the clay. Experimentation is an important part of her creative process which she embraces to both have fun and to push boundaries in her work.
