Ian Henderson Ceramics

Based on the Hopetoun Estate just outside South Queensferry, Ian Henderson is a maker of both decorative and functional ceramics. His work is mostly hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel and is loosely decorated with imagery developed from a study of his local environment. His pottery refers to Japanese and European traditions featuring the bowl, the teapot, the plate and the jar. All of his work is made in short production runs allowing each item to be an original and unique piece.
